Just finished a nice T-Mobile Shop finder using the Google Maps API and jQuery for a client of mine.
Will be interesting to see what the T-Mobile guys have to say about it. If they say ok, it can finally go online :)
Was nice diving deeper into the Google Map API. I only scratched the surface of its possiblities so far :)

Finally jumping from jQuery 1.3 to 1.4 on my own websites. I have been working with it on all my projects and I am really impressed with its stability and performance. With 1.3 I often had binding problem on IE, all working smoothly with 1.4 now :)

I know that I have not updated this blog much in the past few months.
I have been tight up with portalZINE TV and contract work.
Hope to free some time for the horizontal accordion soon, as I have a rough skeleton of the new codebase in place alrready.
But I dont expect me working on it before CeBIT 2010 :)

Es lohnt sich doch, immer mal die Kamera mitzunehmen. Ich war in den vergangenen Wochen immer mal im Wald und habe einige Aufnahmen vom Herbst gemacht. Leider ist mir häufig zu schnell die Sonne „weggelaufen“. Leider sind mittlerweile ja auch die meisten Blätter von den Bäumen gefallen.

Ich bin immer wieder fasziniert, welch schöne Farben die Natur hervorbringt. Gerade wenn die Blätter von gelb über orange, rot, grün und braun alle Nuancen zu bieten haben. Wenn dann auch noch die Sonne scheint, dann sieht es in so einer Baumallee fast wie im Indian Summer in Kanada aus.

Um ein solches Foto schießen zu können, bedurfte es einer Regenjacke auf dem Boden, einige Überwindung sich auf eben diesen zu legen, keine Scheu davor dreckig und nass zu werden und sich fast das Genick auszurenken bei dem Versuch, durch den Sucher etwas sehen zu können. Ein Winkelsucher wäre wirklich von Vorteil gewesen. Aber die Ergebnisse waren das bisschen Dreck wert!

Dieser Effekt eignet sich besonders gut bei Reflektionen auf nasser Haut, glänzenden Oberflächen oder wie hier in Wassertropfen. Die hellsten Stellen im Bild werden verstärkt und Ihnen werden Strahlen hinzugefügt. Die Länge der Strahlen, die Anzahl und die Strahlenwinkel kann man in der Kamera beim Bearbeiten des Bildes bestimmen. Muss eigentlich auch beim Adventskranz gut aussehen – werde ich mal ausprobieren.
