Table of Contents

This is a live chat plugin for Gravity Forms that’s fully integrated and uses the actual forms to collect key information from users upfront, before a chat session even begins.

I was specifically looking for a more support-focused chat solution, rather than a full-blown omnichannel platform like Rocket.Chat. While there’s no shortage of tools available today, many of them introduce unnecessarily complex workflows that go far beyond what’s needed for effective support.

Features (more soon …)

Admin

  • Create Forms within Gravity Forms and assign to the chat (all native fields are working)
  • Working native form validation
  • File Upload is working (will add an option to move files as well, so that they are available in the media library)
  • Native Gravity Forms notifications
  • Basic admin area to handle communication with the support team (working on that next)
  • Recover conversations
  • Mercure SSE support, falls back to polling if not configured or offline.
  • Choose colors, logo via settings (not completely done yet)
  • Chats are stored with the lead information

Frontend

  • Choose support form
  • Recover conversations
  • Maximize chat
  • Limit by role
  • Limit by page

Planned

  • Attach images in chat
  • Emoticons / badge support
  • Names before chat bubble
  • Dates before chat bubble
  • User can get complete chat by email
  • Allow admins to paste links or convert them to QR Codes directly
  • Canned (FAQ connected) and offline messages
  • Auto-close chats after certain time period
  • Chat hook to search and display pages & posts
  • Chat hook to do websearch + screenshot
  • Enhanced admin area with chat search, delete, archive …
  • Page triggers
  • Analytics suing matomo
  • Centralized Enhanced notifications
  • More Support Ticket features …

UPDATED: Asana is a great project management tool, but for those who prioritize data privacy, control, and customization, self-hosted alternatives are a better option.
